Why publication charge ?

Boston Science Publishing is an initiative to provide publishing opportunities to young researchers. Boston Science Publishing promotes publication of quality research papers. Journal cover the costs partially through article processing fees. Our expenses are split among editorial costs, electronic composition and production, journal information system, manuscript management system, electronic archiving, overhead expenses, and administrative costs. Moreover, we must cover the costs of publishing the accepted article plus the cost of processed articles.

How much the publication charge is ?

The publication charge will vary according to the economic status of the each country listed by the World Bank: High Income, Upper Middle Income, Middle Income, Low and Middle Income, Lower Middle Income, Low Income. More over without analysing the manuscript it's not possible to fix the processing charge. At the time of final galley proof author will be notifed.

Important Note on APCs:

The prices listed above represent the standard APC reference rates. The final applicable charge may vary depending on the author's country income classification and other applicable considerations.

For author convenience, applicable publication charges generally range from $500 to $1,100 USD, depending on country classification and manuscript requirements. Certain article types, such as Editorials, Letters, Clinical Images, and other specific categories, may have different applicable rates.

What Does the APC Cover?:

The applicable APC supports the editorial and publication services provided throughout the publication process, including:

1. Editorial Management:

Each manuscript is handled through an organized editorial workflow and is assessed according to the journal's editorial policies and scope.

2. Peer-Review Administration:

The editorial team coordinates the review process and facilitates appropriate editorial assessment and decision-making in accordance with the journal's policies.

3. Article Production:

Accepted manuscripts undergo publication preparation, including formatting, typesetting, electronic composition, proof preparation, and online publication.

4. Digital Archiving:

Published articles are maintained through digital archiving and preservation services to support long-term accessibility.

5. Publication Infrastructure:

APCs contribute toward the maintenance of the journal's online publishing platform, manuscript management system, article databases, and related technical infrastructure.

6. Publication Support:

Authors receive assistance throughout the publication process, including communication regarding manuscript processing, proofs, corrections, and publication-related queries.

The payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript. Our editorial teams are responsible for maintaining the quality of published content through appropriate manuscript assessment, review, revision, and editorial decision-making procedures.

No Guarantee of Acceptance:

Payment of an Article Processing Charge does not influence the editorial decision and does not guarantee manuscript acceptance.

APCs are applicable only when a manuscript is approved for publication and proceeds through the publication process. Editorial decisions are made independently according to the applicable journal's editorial policies and review procedures.

APC Discounts and Waivers:

Boston Science Publishing recognizes that publication costs can present challenges for researchers from different economic backgrounds.

Depending on the journal's policy, country classification, manuscript quality, and other applicable criteria, authors may be considered for discounts, reduced APCs, or other publication support.
