Biography:
Dr. Osama Salama is a distinguished Emergency
Medicine Specialist with a wealth of qualifications, including the European Board of Emergency Medicine (EBEEM),
Emirate Board of Emergency Medicine
(EBEM), Arab Board (ABEM), Jordanian Board (JBEM), and Membership of the Royal
College of Emergency Physicians (MRCEM). He holds an MBA in General
Management from the Canadian University of Dubai.
Currently serving as the Head
of the Emergency Department at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, Dr. Salama
provides leadership in medical administration, resident training, and acute
case management. He has held progressive roles at the hospital since 2013,
including Chief Resident and now leading the department.
A
passionate educator, Dr. Salama is an Adjunct Clinical Tutor at Sharjah
University’s College of Medicine and serves as a Course Director for multiple
life support programs, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), European
Trauma Course (ETC), and Neonatal Life Support (NLS). He is also a Regional
Faculty for the American Heart Association (AHA) and the European Resuscitation
Council (ERC).
Dr.
Salama has organized major medical conferences, contributed to research, and
led committees such as the Code Blue Rapid Response Team. His expertise spans
clinical audits, healthcare quality projects, and JCI accreditation
initiatives.
Dr. Salama is committed to
public health education, appearing on TV shows and volunteering in community
campaigns. His professional interests include resuscitation, toxicology, and
healthcare leadership.
