Biography:
My name is Dr.
Rashad Khazen, a board-certified general surgeon dedicated to advancing
surgical care, medical education, and clinical research. I earned my medical
degree from the University of Ulm in Germany in 2017.
I began my
clinical journey in Germany with visceral and general surgery training before
returning to Israel to complete my residency at Kaplan Medical Center,
affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where I had the privilege
of serving as Chief Resident. After finishing my Residency, I worked as a
Consultant Surgeon in general surgery division at Kaplan medical center.
Building on my general surgery background, I am currently pursuing a Clinical
Fellowship in Body Science and Metabolic Disorders at China Medical University
Hospital in Taichung, Taiwan.
Throughout my
career, I have held board certifications across Germany, Israel, and the United
States (ECFMG), and I actively teach as an ATLS instructor and clinical tutor
for medical students and international physicians.
My research
focuses on complex GI pathologies, minimally invasive techniques, and clinical
outcomes and bariatric surgery, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and
conference presentations to my credit. Beyond clinical practice, I remain deeply
committed to humanitarian work, including providing emergency medical care in
refugee relief efforts. Driven by continuous learning, I am passionate about
blending advanced surgical techniques with compassionate, patient-centered
care.
